question What to Do When the Feeder Is Not Working Properly

What to Do When the Automatic Pet Feeder Is Not Working

1. Check the Power Supply

  • Power Connection
Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to the outlet.
Test the outlet by plugging in another device to confirm it works.

  • Power Cable Inspection
Check if the cable is damaged or loosely connected.

  • Battery Check (for battery-supported models)
If the feeder uses batteries, replace them with fresh ones in case of low or depleted power.

2. Check the Display and LED Indicators

  • Display/LED Status
Check for any error codes or warning messages on the display or LED lights.
Refer to the user manual for appropriate actions based on the displayed code.

  • Feeding Time Settings
Verify that the feeding schedule has been set correctly.

3. Check Food Supply and Internal Mechanism

  • Food Inlet and Path
Inspect the food inlet and dispensing path for blockages.
If the kibble is too large or not supported, switch to a suitable size/type of kibble.

  • Food Tank
Make sure the food tank contains enough food.
The feeder may not operate if the tank is empty.

4. Check Motor and Mechanical Operation

  • Motor Function
Press the manual feed button to see if the motor activates.
If unusual noise occurs, clean or inspect the motor area.

  • Internal Cleaning
Food dust or debris may block the motor or feeding path.
Disassemble and clean the inside of the unit, then reassemble properly.

5. Check App Connectivity (for smart models)

  • Wi-Fi Connection
Confirm the feeder is properly connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
Make sure your router is functioning and the signal is strong.

  • App Settings
Ensure the feeding schedule is correctly saved in the app.
    Reconfigure if necessary.

  • Reinstall the App
If the app malfunctions, uninstall and reinstall it, then re-pair the feeder.

6. Reset and Reassemble the Unit

  • Reset the Device
Follow the user manual to perform a factory reset and reconfigure the settings.

  • Check Assembly
Make sure all parts are assembled correctly and securely.

question The water dispenser is not working

What to Do When the Pet Water Dispenser Is Not Working

  1. Check the Power Supply

    • Make sure the power cable is properly connected.

    • Confirm that the adapter is firmly plugged into a working outlet. Try plugging another device into the same outlet to verify it's working.

    • Inspect the power cable for any damage.

  2. Inspect the Dispenser

    • Ensure the water tank is filled with enough water.

    • Check that the tank is correctly and securely installed on the base unit.

    • Make sure the filter is not clogged or blocked by debris, which may prevent water flow.

  3. Check the Pump Operation

    • Inspect the pump for any foreign objects or debris. Clean the pump if necessary.

    • Remove the pump, rinse it thoroughly with clean water, and reinstall it.

    • Make sure the pump is securely and properly installed.

question If white noise is coming from your speaker

About White Noise from the Speaker

There can be various causes for white noise in speakers, and due to the nature of audio circuitry, a slight amount of white noise may occur even under normal operation.
However, the following steps can help reduce or eliminate the noise:

1. Power and Cable Check

  • Inspect the cables: Ensure the connection cables (especially 3.5mm AUX or RCA) are not loose or damaged.

  • Reconnect the power: Unplug the power cable and plug it back in.

  • Use a noise-filtered power strip: A power strip with a noise filter may help reduce electrical interference.

2. Audio Source Check

  • Try a different device: The noise may be coming from the connected device such as a PC, smartphone, or amplifier. Test with another source.

  • Adjust output levels: Increase the volume on the source device and lower the speaker’s volume to minimize internal amplification noise.

3. Check Environment and Speaker Placement

  • Avoid electromagnetic interference: Keep the speaker away from Wi-Fi routers, mobile phones, monitors, or other devices that emit electromagnetic waves.

  • Grounding issues: Use a grounded power outlet or connect a separate ground cable if available. Poor grounding can intensify white noise.

4. Speaker and Amplifier Inspection

  • Check the speaker: If the speaker itself has an internal fault, white noise may persist even when switching sources.

  • Check the amplifier: If using an external amplifier, it could be the source of the noise. Try replacing it or testing with a different one.

5. Software-Related Issues

  • Update drivers: If connected to a PC or laptop, update your audio drivers to the latest version.

  • Use software EQ or noise reduction features: Some devices or operating systems offer options to reduce background noise.

6. Check Grounding of Power Supply

  • Use a grounded power strip: Make sure the speaker is plugged into a power strip with grounding capability.

  • Wall outlet grounding: Ensure the wall socket is properly grounded if plugging directly into it.

Still hearing noise?
If the noise persists after trying all of the above, the issue may originate from internal electrical components.
Please contact the manufacturer’s service center or a qualified technician for inspection.

question If the feeder does not connect to your smartphone
  1. Power Supply
Ensure the feeder is powered on correctly. Check that the power cable is securely connected and that the indicator light is blinking green.

  2. Wi-Fi Signal & Distance
Make sure the feeder is within 10 meters (33 feet) of the router.
Avoid placing the feeder near concrete walls or obstacles, as these can weaken the Wi-Fi signal and cause connection issues.

  3. Phone Settings
Confirm that your smartphone is connected to Wi-Fi and that both Bluetooth and Location Services are enabled.

  4. Wi-Fi Frequency
The feeder only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
If your router is set to 5GHz, please switch it to 2.4GHz.

  5. Hotspot Test
Try connecting the feeder using your smartphone’s mobile hotspot.
If this works, the issue may be related to your home Wi-Fi signal.

  6. Reset & Reconnect
Clear the app cache. Then, power on the feeder and press and hold the setup button for 5 seconds to re-enter pairing mode.

  7. App Permissions
Ensure that all required permissions, including location access, are granted in your phone settings after installing the app.

Still not connecting?
Download the Smart Life app and try pairing again.
Reconnect the power, turn on Bluetooth, and open the app.
Press and hold the button on the side of the feeder for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode. You may need to try multiple times.
